Effective Date: Jan 16, 2026
RemoDone, Inc. | remodone.co
This Privacy Policy explains how RemoDone, Inc. collects, uses, stores, and shares your information when you use the RemoDone platform. We take your privacy seriously, particularly because you may be uploading sensitive contract documents to our Service.
1. Who We Are
RemoDone, Inc. ("RemoDone," "we," "us," or "our") is a Delaware corporation operating remodone.co. We are the data controller for the personal information we collect through the Service. For privacy-related questions, contact us at: support@remodone.co.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide
When you use the Service, you directly provide us with:
- Account information: Your name and email address, received via Google OAuth when you sign in with your Google account
- Contract documents: PDF files of remodeling contracts that you upload to the Service
- Project data: Information derived from your uploaded contracts, including parsed warranty terms
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you access the Service, we may automatically collect limited technical information such as:
- Log data: Server logs including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps
- Device information: Operating system and browser version
We do not currently use third-party analytics tools. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy before doing so and notify you as required by applicable law.
2.3 Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect:
- Payment or financial account information (we have no payment processing system)
- Government-issued identification numbers
- Information from users under the age of 18
Please note that remodeling contracts you upload may contain personal information about you, your contractor, or other parties named in those documents, such as addresses, phone numbers, license numbers, or signatures. We process that information only as part of providing the Service to you, as described in this Privacy Policy.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing the Service: To authenticate your account, store your uploaded contracts, and display parsed contract information to you
- AI processing: To pass your uploaded contract documents to our AI providers (Anthropic and OpenAI) for text extraction and parsing of warranty terms
- Service improvement: To understand how the Service is used, identify bugs, and improve functionality
- Communications: To send you important account-related notices, such as updates to these Terms or this Privacy Policy
- Legal compliance: To comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests from government authorities
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your personal information for advertising purposes. We do not share your personal information with third parties for their independent marketing purposes.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only with the following categories of third-party service providers, and only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:
4.1 Google (Authentication)
We use Google OAuth solely for user authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google provides us with your name and email address — we do not send your data to Google as part of this process. We do not request access to your Google Drive, contacts, or any other Google services. Google's Privacy Policy governs how Google handles your data on its side, and is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
4.2 Amazon Web Services (File Storage)
Your uploaded contract PDF files are stored in Amazon Web Services S3 cloud storage. AWS provides storage infrastructure on our behalf under AWS's data processing terms. AWS's Privacy Notice is available at aws.amazon.com/privacy.
4.3 Anthropic (AI Processing)
Your uploaded contract documents are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude API for AI-assisted text extraction and parsing. Because we access Anthropic through its commercial API, Anthropic's policy is that your data is not used to train Anthropic's AI models by default. Anthropic's Privacy Policy is available at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
4.4 OpenAI (AI Processing)
Your uploaded contract documents may also be transmitted to OpenAI's API for AI-assisted text extraction and parsing. Under OpenAI's API data usage policies, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI's models by default. OpenAI's Privacy Policy is available at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.
4.5 Cloud Hosting Providers (Application Infrastructure)
Our application is hosted on third-party cloud infrastructure providers. These providers may process technical metadata such as IP addresses and request logs as part of delivering the Service. We select hosting providers that maintain industry-standard security practices and data processing agreements.
4.6 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to: (i) comply with applicable law; (ii) protect the rights or property of RemoDone; (iii) prevent fraud or other illegal activity; or (iv) protect the personal safety of users or the public.
4.7 Business Transfers
If RemoDone is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Service before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different Privacy Policy.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Specifically:
- Account information (name, email): Retained for the duration of your account
- Uploaded contract PDFs: Retained in AWS S3 for the duration of your account, or until you delete them
- Parsed contract data: Retained in our database for the duration of your account
- Server logs: Retained for up to 90 days
When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and uploaded documents within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include:
- HTTPS encryption for data transmitted between your browser and our servers
- Access controls limiting who at RemoDone can access your data
- Secure cloud storage through AWS S3
While we implement reasonable security measures, no internet service can guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@remodone.co.

10. Third-Party Websites
The Service may contain links to third-party websites. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those websites, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party websites you visit.
